Lagos Police Announces Restriction Of Movement For Local Government Elections by naptu2: 11:07am

FLASH: The Lagos State Police Command has announced that there will be TOTAL RESTRICTION of vehicular movement throughout Lagos State from 3am on Saturday 12th July, 2025 till 3pm of same Saturday 12th July, 2025 for the Lagos Local Government Elections.

The restriction of vehicular movement will apply to all roads and waterways within Lagos State jurisdiction.

OTHER DETAILS:

1. Prohibition on Armed Escorts and Security

2. Ban on indiscriminate use of Sirens and covered number plates.

3. All other vehicles, including those belonging to any quasi security outfit and state security agencies are barred from movement, as no state-owned security agency is authorized to participate in the election security operations, in line with the Electoral Act.

4: EXEMPTIONS: Essential services such as those on medical emergency and other emergency responders and their workers, the duly accredited officials of the Lagos State Independent Electoral Commission (LASIEC), and accredited election observers and media practitioners on election coverage accredited by the Lagos State Independence Electoral Commission (LASIEC).

5: IDENTIFICATION TAGS: All the security agencies personnel and other stakeholders, including the media and election observers accredited by LASEIC for the election will be in possession and wear their identification tags certified by LASEIC throughout the period of the Election.

6. SECURITY: The Command hereby sternly warns all miscreants, hoodlums, and thugs to stay away from the polling units, collations centers and other statutory places where the electoral processes are designated to take place throughout the State.

7. TO REPORT: The public are further encouraged to remain vigilant and report any suspicious persons or activities in their vicinity by promptly contacting the police via the designated emergency lines: 08063299264 or 08065154338

When are we going to stop economic activities during elections? People should be able to vote while going about their activities.

All I have been seeing are APC candidates posters.

Why are other parties not campaigning

Well, maybe they feel it's unwise to waste resources as APC will likely write the results.

Only God can save Nigeria, everyday, the hope restoration is not clear.

APC must clear all the local govt 100%. I repeat apc must win all thee local govt election nk rm for any opposition in Lagos. If Abia, Ebonyi, Kaduna, Kano can clear their LG electin for their party 100% then Lagos APC must win all LGA by force by fire too.

Oh really apc will write the result same way Otti wrote it Abia ba? Oh you mean same way Enugu and Ebonyi governor wrote it ba?

As per Sowore I prefer him and Kachukwu to be the president in 2031 or 2038 than for obi, el rufai and atiku to even become a local govt chairman takless of president.
